LAW-8031 State Constitutional Law
This course will cover the framing of state constitutions, state constitutional rights, state governmental powers, and state constitutional change. We will explore decisions by state supreme courts impacting such issues as legislative districting, environmental protection, reproductive rights, public education, the death penalty, among others. The course will be designed to teach students how to effectively advocate for their clients using this important source of law.
