LAW-2035 Advanced Torts
This seminar continues from the first year Torts class with additional consideration of duty and proximate cause, strict liability, products liability, nuisance, defamation, misrepresentation and fraud, legal malpractice, defamation, invasion of privacy, interference with contractual relations, prospective advantage, and additional areas of tort law policy such as tort reform, unjust enrichment and reparations. The seminar examines doctrinal trends and integrates policy, theory and law to ensure a fuller understanding of civil liability in the United States. Students will complete practice writing assignments and a final paper.
