MKT-310 Storytelling and Personal Brand Building

In today’s fast-paced and media-saturated world, the ability to craft a compelling story is both a creative asset and a critical marketing skill. This course explores the strategic role of storytelling in modern marketing and professional and personal brand development, equipping students with the tools to influence, inspire, and differentiate through narrative and reinforcing professional enthusiasm.   Students will examine how businesses use storytelling across various platforms, such as pitch competition, social media, blogs, and podcasts, to create emotional resonance, foster consumer loyalty, and drive brand equity. Students will practice how to transform market facts, data, insights into influence through visualization, contextualization, and logical persuasion.    At the same time, the course takes a deep dive into personal brand building, guiding students through developing their professional brand and positioning themselves to stand out and make a lasting impression in their careers. These skillsets will contribute to students’ career success in areas like digital marketing, sales, new venture launching, brand management, and fundraising.
