LAW-8061 Business Communications and Etiquette
The course will cover the basics of public speaking and business communications in our in-person, on-line and hybrid world. In addition, students will learn how to plan and run meetings and how to approach professional dinners, receptions and business trips. Concepts around personal communication style, communicating across difference and working with colleagues from different backgrounds will also be covered. While the course is not intended to cover oral advocacy or legal writing, examples and exercises will generally come from legal employment settings. This course is intended to help 1L students develop the "soft" skills needed for success in a professional setting.
