The course will use pop culture as a way to analyze legal issues and persuasive communication and explore the influence of pop culture on the law. Embark on a unique approach to studying law through a journey through the legal landscape intertwined with the extraordinary career of Taylor Swift. This course transcends traditional legal studies by weaving the art of persuasive rhetoric and storytelling into our exploration of Taylor Swift's experiences within the legal realm. Through an interdisciplinary lens, students will not only dissect legal concepts but also harness the power of persuasive storytelling to analyze and communicate complex legal issues in the world of Taylor Swift. The course will use Taylor Swift’s music, her celebrity persona, her leadership and influence, and her interactions with different areas of the law, to gain insights into persuasive legal rhetoric, legal culture, persuasive written and oral communication, and legal issues. We will examine the themes and policies represented and how they potentially shape the law.
