SBS-150 Titletown to Sneaker Town: An Inside Look at Boston’s Sports Industry
This course provides you with a foundational understanding of the elements of a career in sports business. The focus will be on understanding how to engage consumers via sports to monetize a business, be it a team (professional/college/semi-professional), a league (pro/college), or sports-related organization (consumer product/service/charity). After this course, you should have confidence that you can enter and succeed in any undergraduate business program and major in any discipline.
You will learn how to use data, how to design strategies and campaigns and how to communicate your ideas. These interdisciplinary skills will be developed through a combination of in-class, team, and real-world experiences to solve challenges faced by sports businesses and society.
