EMBA-711 Managing in the Global Environment
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of the global business environment. Operating in an international setting not only engenders numerous opportunities for firms to attain above-average returns, but also presents many challenges due to complexity that arises from the differences (e.g., cultural, legal, political, social and economic) existing among countries in which firms operate. This course includes 2 main components: 1. Introduction to global business fundamentals and main international business theories; and 2. Application of these conceptual frameworks through an experiential learning project with an organization pursuing geographic expansion.
