POLS-375 Derry Girls and the Politics of War and Peace In Northern Ireland
This class will look at the way in which a political solution was developed in the case of Northern Ireland. It will do so by using a combination of academic literature and popular cultural resources especially the television program "Derry Girls". The class will examine the ways in which Northern Ireland, where the program "Derry Girls" is set, came to be, as well as how its society functioned and how an eventual solution to the conflict was found.
