Internship: With the assistance of a faculty advisor, each student will identify an appropriate internship site relevant to the practice of graphic design. All interns are required to complete 120 hours working under the direction of a qualified design professional. Interns are expected to contribute to the host firm at a high level of design interaction. Although the internship experience is non-credit bearing, students must complete ADG-337 Professional Practice & Internship.
Notes: • Courses numbered 200 and above have as a prerequisite the completion of the Foundation Studies program or its equivalent. Exceptions may be made only with the permission of the instructor and the Graphic Design program director. • The letter “S” preceding the course number indicates a studio course, for which a studio fee is assessed. • In addition to the required courses listed below all BFA candidates must participate in all portfolio reviews and exhibit work in the Graphic Design Student Exhibition.
Residency Requirement Policy: In the College of Arts and Sciences, a two-course (8 credit) residency requirement must be satisfied for completion of a minor and a four-course (16 credit) residency requirement must be satisfied for the completion of a major.

To complete requirements for honors in the major, a candidate must:
Complete ADG-HS344 or ADG-HS345
Present final honors project at the senior exhibition
CAS Honors Program students only: Also present work from the senior honors experience at the Honors Symposium
