Academic English Level 6

Overview

Academic English Level 6 is designed for students with advanced English language proficiency.  In level 6, students will continue to build and expand the skills they need to be successful in academic and professional careers.  Courses in level 6 will focus on strengthening the analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to comprehend complex ideas in authentic material taken from academic and professional contexts.  Students will respond to these complex ideas through discussions, presentations, and academic essays in a variety of genres.  Students in level 6 will also have an opportunity to complete a research paper with proper academic sources and citations.
