LAW-9025 Recent Topics in Family Law from a Comparative Perspective
This one credit class, which has no prerequisites requirements and is open to all students, will review family law "hot topics" in the US and European Union. Through in-class discussion of legal issues, simulations, and field trips, this class will cover the historical development of marriage and divorce inboth the US and EU, the federalization of child support in the US as compared to the EU, and the complex area of child custody and child abduction.
