CHEM-412 Thermodynamics and Kinetics
This course introduces the principles of thermodynamics and chemical kinetics. Topics include energy, entropy, and equilibrium, as well as rate laws, reaction mechanisms, and theories of reaction rates. Statistical mechanics is introduced to provide additional insight into the molecular basis of thermodynamic and kinetic behavior of chemical systems.
Prerequisite
Student has completed all of the following course(s) CHEM 112 - General Chemistry II, CHEM L112 - General Chemistry Lab II, MATH 165 - Calculus I
