AE-045 Current Events: What's Happening Now (Level 4)
This course will examine the current issues and events that affect our lives, the nation, and the world. Students will gain an understanding of source credibility, media bias, and the difference between fact and opinion. Students will read articles from newspapers, magazines, and respected websites. Students will be responsible for a variety of writing exercises, which may include journal entries and reflection papers. Because the subject of this class is "contemporary," topics will vary considerably depending on the current news cycle and will most likely focus on university news, local issues, and recent world events. This course is designed for students at an intermediate to high intermediate level. This is a non-credit course.
