STATS-H240 Honors Introduction to Statistics
The course is designed, based on the STATS 240 curriculum, to deepen course materials and cover broader statistics topics and applications to real-world statistical analysis. The honors course also adds a heavier weight on software labs for students to earn hands-on experiences with data analysis. (
STATS-H240 satisfies the same requirements as
STATS-240 &
STATS-250) Topics include: data presentation, measures of central locations and dispersion, probability, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling and sampling distribution, estimation, hypothesis testing with applications, simple and multiple regression models with statistical inference.
