THETR-237 Coaching in Musical Theatre Styles
Coaching in Musical Theatre Styles is an exploration of the different singing styles present in musical theatre today. From the Golden Age musicals of Rogers and Hammerstein to contemporary pop/rock musicals, students will be introduced to the different vocal techniques involved in these genres. The class will consist of group vocal work, individual vocal coaching, listening assignments, and weekly presentations of solo songs, as well as participating in small vocal groups and larger ensembles.
