SOC-228 Cultural Diversity

This class discusses racial, ethnic and cultural groups, and uses sociology as a way to understand some of the larger patterns of immigration, identity, intergroup relations, privilege, discrimination, and oppression. Students will increase their awareness and appreciation of diversity and examine cultural differences from a sociological perspective. The course will help students understand how culture impacts our world and thus help them prepare personally and professionally to succeed in a global context.
