PHYS-461 Quantum Mechanics I
This course is designed for non-relativistic study of subatomic particle systems. Topics included are Schrodinger equation, wave function, probability density, uncertainty relationship. Hilbert space, development of the concepts of observables, state vectors, operators and matrix representation. Tunneling, scattering, and perturbation theory. Harmonic oscillator and Hydrogen atom. Eigenvalues, principal, angular momentum, magnetic and spin quantum numbers.
