ISOM-210 Management Information Systems
This course introduces students to the essential role of information systems and digital technologies in modern business. In today’s data-driven, interconnected world, every business relies on technology to operate, compete, and innovate. This course explores how businesses use technology to create value, improve decision-making, and respond to global challenges. Topics include IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, e-commerce, enterprise systems, business analytics, emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), among others. By the end of the course, students will not only understand the technologies that power businesses today, but also be prepared to think critically about how to leverage them responsibly and creatively—regardless of their chosen field.
