HLTH-611 Healthcare Financial Management
HLTH 611 builds on MBA-641 and enables students to learn about the unique aspects of healthcare financial management. Using examples from different types of healthcare organizations, including hospitals and ambulatory care centers, students will learn about the principal payers for healthcare services (i.e., patients, commercial insurers, health plans, Medicare and Medicaid), significant federal and state regulations, operational and capital budgeting, billing and collections, revenue cycle management, and financial analysis and decision making to generate desired results.
