FIN-520 Finance Internship

The course is designed to help students make the most of their internship by developing professional skills, strengthening their understanding of the finance industry, and applying academic concepts in a real-world setting. This course is taken in conjunction with a finance-related internship that the student is actively working in during the semester. It cannot be taken before or after the internship experience. The internship must involve at least 160 hours of work and be arranged by the student prior to the start of the semester. Employer feedback is collected at key points during the term. All course-related activities and meetings are conducted virtually. Successful completion of this course fulfills the practicum requirement for finance majors and students receive 3 credits towards a finance major elective. Registration requires instructor approval.
