CMPSC-740 Machine Learning & AI
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), emphasizing foundational principles and practical applications. It covers key types of ML—supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning—as well as essential AI concepts such as neural networks, deep learning, and natural language processing. Students will implement models and algorithms using popular tools, learning to handle data preprocessing, model evaluation, and selection. Through lectures, labs, and projects, students will develop the skills to analyze complex datasets, create predictive models, and understand AI’s real-world applications.
