CAS-552 Academic Travel Seminar: Creativity in Global Branding: Shibuya
This course focuses on the display of digital Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising at Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo, the world's largest pedestrian intersection, where up to 3,000 people cross the street every two minutes. The course is designed to provide students of all majors with an understanding of the role of OOH advertising and its ability to reflect a city or nation's culture. Specifically, this class will combine lectures and hands-on' projects as we delve into the strategy and creativity present in the OOH at Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo. This course will integrate international travel to Tokyo to view Shibuya Crossing and investigate the way it has become an integral part of the country's culture and tourist trade. This course can satisfy an Advertising elective.
