ADF-S124 Watercolor Painting
This is a class designed for students who want to learn the art of Watercolor/ water-based media
Basic artistic concepts pertaining to the medium will be covered, such as transparency, composition, basic color theory, and value. A fundamental, hands-on working knowledge of the various medium and equipment will be addressed. Emphasis will be on hands on problem-solving, skill building, and helping students develop a personal style. Specific techniques will be addressed to help students make decisions and work through and complete paintings. Students should think about & assemble the kinds of subject matter they would like to paint in order to create paintings that they are passionate about. After this course students will be able to continue painting and developing their skills. Projects will include painting from the still life, the environment and images. Paint, paper, water and a brush - that's all you need to start painting with water based media.
Students must attend scheduled zoom meetings, the rest of the content will be asynchronous.
