LAW-2696 Estate Planning
This course explores estate planning techniques for individuals and families, with a focus on navigating the federal transfer taxes that arise in the estate planning context. Students will explore how to identify client concerns, meet client objectives, and navigate ethical considerations related to the disposition of property. Additional topics include the use of various trusts in tax-driven planning strategies, post-death administration, planning for incapacity, and charitable giving.
