LAW-2025 Admiralty Law
This is a survey course covering the basics of U.S. Admiralty Jurisdiction and Maritime Law. The areas of Maritime Law addressed include, inter alia, the jurisdiction of Courts sitting in Admiralty; choice of law in maritime cases; maritime remedies; collision; maritime liens; vessel arrest; marine insurance; marine pollution; salvage; and charter agreements. The class is taught in the style of an interactive seminar with members of the local Maritime Bar serving as occasional guest speakers.• Meets International Law Concentration Requirements.• Option between Paper and Final Exam.
