POLS-385 International Development
Students will examine the interdisciplinary literature on international development and identify gaps, contradictions, and effectiveness of policies that improve people's lives worldwide. Three are the main goals of this course: develop a foundational understanding of competing schools of thought in contemporary international development; integrate theory and practice by applying theory to current events and historical cases; and assess the performance of institutions, programs, and policies.
