CAS-HC403 Designing Your Portfolio
In this course, students will develop skills and strategies to design and produce an online portfolio for the work they have already produced, regardless of discipline or genre. These will be useful tools for students to brand themselves and showcase their abilities to potential graduate schools and employers. It can also provide an initial platform from which to begin building a career and a professional identity. We will consider the individual students, their particular projects, the conventions associated with them, their multiple potential audiences, and the goals students could set for their professional online presence. We will then design live websites to present each type of work, to develop a professional persona, and to do so in ways that appeal to specific audiences.
